Ethically, what was the better choice - spending a weekend playing video games or representing NIU at the annual Collegiate Ethics Competition? Austin Schulte ('12 Marketing) and Sam Kunde ('12 Accountancy) chose well.

The two NIU College of Business students placed second in the country after presenting their business case involving a family on the brink of foreclosure.

"This is the first year we've sent students to the competition," says Dean Denise Schoenbachler, "and they placed second in the country. They wouldn't have been able to go without the support of the Northern Fund."
